Driver Education Scheduling Information for Summer, 2010
Classroom instruction is available throughout the summer Monday thru Friday. Classes may also be offered during the school year on Saturdays and during vacations. See our calendar for specific dates and locations.
Following is some important information regarding the summer classes:
- Classroom instruction is divided into 2 blocks of five, three-hour classes (Block A and Block B) for a total of 30 clock hours.
- Each student will choose a specific session for Block A and choose a specific session for Block B.
- Block A and Block B may be taken concurrently (all in five days) or separately (spread over ten days) as long as Block A is taken first.
- At least one parent or legal guardian is required to attend the first half-hour of Block A and the final two hours of Block B, with the student.
Class Times
Mornings 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 Noon
Afternoons 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Evenings 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
IMPORTANT: We only accept 30 students per Block A session and 30 students per Block B session on a first-paid basis.
Because each student receives six hours of actual driving instruction, the Behind-the-Wheel sessions are scheduled by phone, e-mail, or on-line separately from the classroom sessions.
Upon completion of day three of the Block A session of classroom instruction and appropriate payment, a teen student may begin scheduling the behind-the-wheel lessons. These will be available Monday thru Saturday most of the year throughout the day according to the availability of our professional driving instructors. If you were using our old scheduling calendar prior to Spring, 2010, you will now have to call or email our office to schedule lessons.
Holidays and Vacations: Driving Academy of Northwest Arkansas will be CLOSED on Sundays, New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday following Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
